Tuscany Region — Municipal Administrative Areas of Tuscany

Multi-scale and multi-source vector dataset, extended to the entire territory of the Tuscany Region representing the administrative boundaries of municipal, provincial, regional and all other territorial areas resulting from municipal aggregations. The dataset is a technical reference tool for the creation, verification and circulation of municipal spatial information consistent with the Regional Technical Cartography. The purpose of this archive is to minimise the aspects of ambiguity and uncertainty encountered in the management of the acts and instruments of the government of the territory — in particular in the application of those parties that interact directly with the right to property. The legislative reference is Executive Decree No 5094 of 7 September 2005, which also approves the formal procedure to be followed in case of revisions or corrections to the original dataset.
