Tuscany Region — Regional Geological Map 1:10.000

The Regional Geological Charter project on a scale of 1:10,000 was the most important investment of the Tuscany Region in the development of the geological knowledge of the regional territory. The project developed through new surveys of the regional geology for about 70 % of the regional territory and through the recovery and processing of surveys on the 1:10,000 scale of the national CARG project for the remaining 30 % and continued from 2002 to 2007 involving the three Tuscan Universities and the CNR- IGG of Pisa.The availability of the regional technical maps at a scale 1:10,000 allowed in 2013 to realise the Geological Continuum where the inconsistencies present in the areas of contact in the areas of contact between the various bodies that had produced the geological map10k have been corrected.
