Following DGRT No 225/2003 of the Region of Tuscany, 45 CISSs were formally established, called underground water bodies, in order to define the level of protection to be guaranteed and any remedial action to be implemented through the Protection Plan. Of the 45 CISSs identified by the Tuscany Region, 29 were made up of porous aquifers and 16 in fractured media. On the basis of Decision No 939 of 26 October 2009 (Identification and characterisation of the water bodies of Tuscany), the Hydraulic Corps were reconsidered by applying new criteria for determining them, which brought changes in both the number and the designation, having been defined as 66 CIS (Soterrane Hydric Corps), giving the term ‘significant’ to be acquired. As a result of the above-mentioned resolution, a review of the studies already carried out for all CIS present in the Tuscan basins on behalf of the “Territorial and Environmental Information System” Sector of the Tuscany Region has been carried out.Since the end of 2017 the data have been integrated and included in a new structure, at present the following geographical information layers, documents and elaborates are available. Aquifers in porous means: • Perimetration • Reconstruction of aquifers • Piezometries • Rock Acquire Relations: • Perimetration and structure • Sections • Relations
