Dataset description
The SOIUSA — Unified International Horographic Subdivision of the Alpine System (SOIUSA) is a geographical and place name classification system of the Alps, developed by Sergio Marazzi in collaboration with the most important institutes and professionals in the Alpine countries, based on geological, geomorphological, hydrogeological and phytogeographical criteria. It is a proposal to reconcile the different systems of grouping the Alpine countries.
