Dataset description
Reprocessing of satellite data by the Iuav University of Venice for the Municipality of Rovigo. It consists of the elaboration of a grid on a hexagonal basis of the 200 m side of the satellite image measuring the ground temperature (Land Surface Temperature). In particular, the two data present refer to a summer day with average temperatures and one characterised by a heat wave (1 August 2020 and 1 June 2019, respectively). The aim of the comparison is to highlight which areas are most vulnerable to heat waves, to support the Public Administration in territorial planning based on objective data. The reference system used is Monte Mario Italy 1 (EPSG:3003). The data in this dataset can also be viewed in the WebApp developed for the Urban Digital Center project — InnovationLab Rovigo: https://www.rovigodasatellite.com/app/
