The waiting areas for the population (defined as AP) are safe places of first reception for the population in case of an event; in these areas the flow of information and assistance to the population is guaranteed thanks to the commitment of voluntary associations and the resources of the Municipality.
The clear indication and knowledge of these areas is necessary in order to provide the population with a reference point in the event of an emergency in which they can stay for a few hours waiting to return to their homes or be directed to other destinations.
All the areas have therefore already been identified by special posters (reference Regional Executive Decree No. 719 of 2005 and Annex 5) and will be the subject of a careful program of information to the population with the involvement of the local voluntary associations.
In addition to the billboarding we have provided every single AP with a minimum of essential services such as water, electricity and first aid medicines placed inside special columns easily identifiable (all have the Civil Protection logo).
