Dataset description
The data refer to the total quantities of municipal solid waste generated (SSR), the total amount of separate collection (RD) and the percentages of separate collection (historic series 2004 to 2016). There are various calculation criteria (ISPRA, ARPAV, Osservatorio Regionale Waste, Legambiente) that can be used for the elaboration of the separate collection index, which may or may not include certain categories of waste. For ease of access and extrapolation of the data, it was chosen to use the separate collection indices published by Legambiente as part of the annual survey on the Urban Ecosystem. The Municipality of Vicenza manages the municipal waste collection service through Valore Ambiente Srl — Gruppo AIM Vicenza S.p.A.
