Dataset description
This resource verifies the compliance of fresh surface waters designated as suitable for the life of fish. The regions designate stretches of watercourses and lake areas that require protection or improvement in order to be suitable for the life of fish, salmonids and cyprinids. The indicator shall identify the number of watercourses or lakes, the length of the sections and the extent of the designated areas which, over a 12-month period and on the basis of a minimum sampling frequency, comply with the mandatory limits set for a selected group of chemical and physical parameters defined by the legislation. Since 2015, the number of designated sections has been reduced.
