Dataset description

On the basis of the International and Latvian National Sanctions Law, Cabinet Regulation No 327 of 9 July 2019 “Procedures for initiating and enforcing international and national sanctions” and the Prime Minister’s Resolution No 2022-1.1.1./16-16 of 14 March 2022, by which the Ministry of Justice has a coordinating role in the application of sanctions in respect of the registers maintained by the State, which are maintained by the Court Administration, the Register of Enterprises, the Patent Board, the State Joint Stock Company “Road Traffic Safety Directorate”, the State Joint Stock Company “Latvian Maritime Administration”, the State Technical Supervision Agency, the Agricultural Data Centre, the State Agency “Civil Aviation Agency”, the Ministry of Justice publishes the abovementioned register of sanctions applied and implemented in order to provide the public and the media with transparent and true information about the sanctions applied in one place, to ensure effective application of sanctions and the possibility for individuals to effectively protect their legitimate interests and to comply with the requirements laid down in regulatory enactments regarding transactions with specific subjects and objects.
