A densely populated area (BAT) is a separate area independent of the administrative division — an accommodation or a workplace with at least 50 permanent residents or employees in neighbouring or nearby areas. Bat is calculated on 1.1.2019. (taking into account both living and jobs), 1.3.2011 and 31.3.2000. (at the time of the people’s census, taking into account only the place of residence). [Visualisation](https://dpa.csb.gov.lv/). On labels for borders 2019, the first number indicates the number of permanent residents at the beginning of 2019 and the second the number of jobs at the beginning of 2018 (experimental statistics). For the 2000 and 2011 borders, only the population is indicated according to the year in question in the experimental statistics. If ≤ 10, then indicated as 5. Data are not up-to-date, but those used to set BAT limits.
