Generalised boundaries of territorial units

From the data published by the State Land Service, the Generalised Territorial Units, Administrative Territories (LAU 2) and Statistical (NUTS 3) regional boundaries of 1:1 200 000 (corresponding to format A3), 1:1 700 000 (A4) and 1:2 400 000 (A5) are published. Data for a given year are published in case of changes compared to the previous year. Non-generalised current borders are published at https://data.gov.lv/dati/lv/dataset/valsts-adresu-registra-informacijas-sistemas-atvertie-dati/resource/f539e8df-d4e4-4fc1-9f94-d25b662a4c38. In order to extract the boundaries of administrative areas and statistical regions from files in _shapefile_ format, the GIS software shall combine geometry by common attribute values (field _L0_code_administrative areas, _NUTS3_code_ — for statistical regions).
