Population of municipalities broken down by nationality

The dataset contains statistical information from the Register of Natural Persons (until 2021.06.28. Population Register) on the number of inhabitants in municipalities according to nationality — citizens of Latvia, non-citizens of Latvia, persons to whom a stateless person, refugee or alternative status or temporary protection has been granted in Latvia.The number of persons with other nationalities is indicated as others. The distribution of the population shall be based on the current declared, registered, indicated and, where registration at the place of residence is not valid, the address. The “specified place of residence” section means the number of persons for whom the address of the place of residence in a municipality other than the declared or registered address of the person is indicated in the Register of Natural Persons. The heading ‘no registration at the place of residence’ indicates the number of persons for whom the municipality in question is indicated as the municipality of the last registered place of residence. Data are prepared twice a year for data on 1 January and 1 July.
