The geological map of the Quaternary shows the lithological (material) composition, genesis (origin) and age of sediments forming the surface of the territory of Lithuania. Lithuania’s surface is dominated by the sediments of the penultimate and last glacier (morenic loam and loam) and the cleavage of the melting waters of these glaciers (screw-screw, various sands, aleurite, clay). Sporadically on the surface of lake sediments (sapropel, sand) wetlands (pigs), wind-roofed sand, covering the slopes. Alluvial (grained sand, aleurite) of floodplains and oversalt terraces in Salpine and terraced river valleys.
