The day of 19 May 1956 begins with a wreath deposit on the tomb of Paul BRASSEUR followed by an office celebrated in the cathedral by Monsignor LOMMEL in the presence of numerous personalities. The notary Joseph Kerschen arrives breathless at the cathedral. The Mass was followed by an academic session at the City Hall honoured by the presence of Prince FELIX during which many speeches were delivered, including those of the President of the Union and Mr. Paul Wilwertz (for the College). Alongside the Prince, we note the presence, starting from the left, of MM Emile HAMILIUS, Paul Wilwertz, Pierre WERNER, Pierre FRIEDEN, Emile REUTER. The session is followed by a wine of honor animated by an orchestra. Monsignor LOMMEL trinque with several personalities. Then a banquet took place during which Mr HAMILIUS and others took the floor. The evening is marked by a dinner show with Hary HAAGEN. Members of the Union Committee also laid a wreath at the foot of the memorial.
