The WMS services offered originate from the digitised cadastral plan vector database (PCN), whose information describes the cadastral situation on the entire territory of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in the form of bridge, linear and surface objects.
The** base scale** of these data is in principle **1:2500**.
The catalogue of objects according to which this dataset is structured consists of different classes of objects, the main of which are plots and buildings.
NCP data go back to the cadastral plan as established for
the first time in the early 19th century, and which was preserved and maintained
up-to-date on paper boards for almost two centuries.
Since 2003, the cadastre and topography administration has been updating the NCP in digital form.
**_Due to the historical origin of cadastral data, the NCP often has significant lags to the national reference system LUREF.
An overlay of the PCN with other georeferenced data therefore requires adequate professional interpretation.
