Dataset description
This dataset contains vector data of historical communal boundaries for the following periods:
— Before 1920
— 1920 @-@ 1977
— 1978
— 1979 @-@ 2005
— 2006 @-@ 2011
— 2012 @-@ 2014
— 2015 @-@ 2017
The current municipal boundaries can be found in [the Administrative Limits Dataset](https://data.public.lu/fr/datasets/limites-administratives-du-grand-duche-de-luxembourg/).
The files contain the following information:
— The names of the administrative communes
— The cantons
— Districts (districts are abolished, according to the Act of 2 September 2015 abolishing districts)
— Electoral districts (from 2006 onwards)
— LAU2 codes (from 2012 onwards)
