Activities, sports and injuries The figures presented on activities, sports and injuries are based on questions from the Permanent Investigation of Living Situation (POLS) of the Central Bureau for Statistics. In POLS, which has been operational since 1997, the previous surveys carried out separately on the various subjects of living situation have been forged together into an integrated system of living situation studies. Wrist has a modular structure. One of the modules concerns the Work and Health module. In the Health Survey from 1996 and POLS’s Labour and Health module of 1997, questions were included on ‘activities through sport and movement’, participation in sport and the duration of physical activities and sports injuries.
