The data in the table 'Adoptions through the courts; number of at the same time adopted children are involved in Dutch courts applications for adoption submitted. In the table are the adoptive families. involved in the assigned requests. Families who request 1, 2 or more children are distinguished have adopted at the same time. The data in this table concern both ordinary adoptions and step Parent Adoptions. Adoptions covered by the Hague Adoption Convention have not been recorded. If a child is adopted from a country that is membership of this Convention, the adoption becomes automatic and complete recognised without the intervention of a Dutch court.
