Animal manure and minerals; production, transport and use by region

The table contains figures on the production, transport and use of livestock manure and the minerals nitrogen and phosphate contained therein by farms. The use of livestock manure in the form of nitrogen and phosphate is compared with the placement area for both minerals. In the table, the data can be viewed for different regional levels including divisions, provinces and concentration areas. Significant margins of uncertainty should be taken into account when using both regional and substantively detailed outcomes. In the case of more aggregate usage figures such as mineral use per hectare per country or absolute mineral use per province or subdivision, the error margins are smaller. Data available vanaf:1994 Status of the figures: Figures are final at first publication, but new insights into calculation methods may lead to a recalculation of the time series. Changes as of 15 February 2022: Figures for 2020 have been added. New insights into the extent of gaseous nitrogen losses in stables may change figures on nitrogen in manure and figures on manure transport between farms and manure use throughout the time series. When will there be new figures? In the first quarter of 2023, the figures for 2021 are added.
