Area biographies

The map layer of Area Biographies contains a large number of integral landscape studies or area descriptions that can serve as a start for new fundamental or applied research. The whole of the Netherlands has been the subject of research to a greater or lesser extent. For example, descriptions of all provinces are included in the series ‘Recovered past’. And also in the 1:50.000 soil mapping area descriptions have been made. More recently, landscape or area biographies have been written of some areas. A large number of these types of more or less integral studies and area descriptions are collected in this map. The biographies are divided into 4 groups: public book | scientific publication | area biographies for policy or planning | basic literature.
