Dataset description

In the publication Areas in the Netherlands 2007 a relationship is established between the municipal division (lowest administrative level) at 1 January 2007 and various subdivisions of Dutch territory at the upper-community level. These subheadings are for convenience in addition to area classifications also counted the divisions of municipalities by size (residential number) and urbanity. The breakdown by size is based on the population numbers per municipality. Data available from: 1996 Frequency: discontinued; each year a new table with the most recent layouts is compiled. Status of the figures: Names are final.
