This table establishes a relationship between the municipal classification (the lowest administrative level in the Netherlands) on 1 January 2018 and various subdivisions of the Dutch territory at upper-municipal level. With the information from this table, figures from municipalities can be added together, so that figures can also be calculated at upper-community level. For the classification by tourist areas, exceptions apply to this. In the table, click the relevant column header (“Tourist Areas”) to get detailed information.
The table is composed of:
— Codes and names of municipalities.
— Localisations of municipalities. This indicates which upper-municipal areas a municipality belongs to.
— Size and urbanity of municipalities.
— Statistical data. This includes the population and the environmental address density. This data is based on the size and urbanity of municipalities.
For each municipality, the table shows which upper-municipal areas the municipality is part of. On the other hand, the corresponding municipalities can be searched for in the parts of the country, provinces and COROP areas.
