Assistance benefits; benefit base, regions

This table provides insight into the number of benefits to households under the Work and Welfare Act (WWB, until 2014) and the Participation Act (as of 2015), broken down by benefit base and region. Benefits (living money) to persons in an institution, provided elsewhere, are not included. Benefits to homeless people are also not included. A benefit to a couple is counted as one benefit to two persons. In the case of a couple, the age of the oldest person counts. A distinction is made between benefits to persons who have not yet reached the AOW age and benefits to persons with the AOW age. The regional classification is based on the municipality providing the assistance. Data available from January 2011. Status of the figures The figures until 2021 are final. The figures from January 2 022 to May 2022 are further provisional. The figures for the last three months are provisional. The preliminary figures for September 2022 will come in November 2022.
