Dataset description
The table 'Asylum applications; international' contains data on numbers
applications for asylum lodged in different countries within and outside Europe.
This table has been discontinued and replaced by the new ‘Asylum Requests’ table;
international. The new table is primarily based on
data from Eurostat, the European Statistical Office
Union. The discontinued table was based solely on data from the
UNHCR.
Data available from: 1990.
Status of the figures: it happens that countries are reviewing figures. When
that is the case, these changes will be taken over by CBS.
