This table shows the number of persons and the percentage who received care without residence during the reporting year for which a personal contribution has to be paid. The number of hours of care was also given in the reporting year. The figures are broken down by type of care, age, gender and income class.
Up to and including reporting year 2006, the costs of this care were borne by the General Act on Special Care Costs (AWBZ). As of 2007, household care has been transferred from the AWBZ to the Social Support Act (WMO).
As of 21 June 2010, an own contribution has also been introduced for users of the ‘in-kind’ support function. Since it is not possible to calculate reliable annual figures, this concern will be included in the tables from 2011.
