The Basic Map of Earth Values 2006 provides a national overview of areas that have been identified as geographically valuable until 2006. These are landforms, soils, or a typical geology that characterises a larger area. These tell the story of the origin of the Netherlands, often in connection with humans. For more than half of the areas, a more detailed explanation is available, which can be consulted as a PDF file via the map.
