What’s there to see? The map shows the total amount of (tonnes) biomass from straw (grain tile) per municipality. In the Netherlands, most straws already have a destination, and the availability is small. Main message: the map shows the geographical distribution and quantities of biomass in the form of straw. What’s the value? Biomass in the form of straw is used for among others. cardboard, bio-component, compost, stable floor covering and energy generation. Who is this important to? The information is important for farmers and owners of small-scale biodigesters, the energy sector and straw processing companies and industry.
