What’s there to see? The map shows the potential amount of berm mower (tonnes per year) along roads outside the built-up area in a municipality. The amount of berm mowers has been calculated on the basis of literature data (Kempenaar et al. 2009) and information on road widths (topographic map 1:10.000). What’s the value? The map provides insight into the geographical distribution of the potentially available quantities of berm mowers at municipal scale. Who is this important to? Biomass as a mower is used for among others. cardboard, bio-component, compost and energy generation. The map information is important for producers and users of berm mowers such as Rijkswaterstaat, municipalities, provinces, water boards, managing organisations and owners of small-scale biovergisters, the energy sector and mower processing industry.
