Dataset description

This table contains figures on workers by country of residence and working region in the Netherlands, Belgium, Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. The data can be further disaggregated by gender and nationality. This information has been compiled as part of an Interreg project within the Germany-Netherlands and Flanders-Netherlands programme to make cross-border labour market data available. Data available from: 2010. Reporting period 2010-2019 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final Changes as of 25 March 2022 Figures for 2019 have been added. In addition, the dates for old years have changed slightly for some regions. The German data has been delivered again, so we have fewer strangers. The Dutch data has been changed because newer versions of various registrations have been used and the method of imputing unknown information has been improved. Changes as of 12 February 2021 The Belgian figures by nationality for 2018 have been added. Changes as of 13 November 2020 At the latest update, the NUTS 3 regions of Germany were accidentally not published. These are now added. Changes as of 12 November 2020 The figures for 2018 have been added. For Belgium, a breakdown by nationality is not yet available for the year 2018. Due to an improvement in the method used, there have been changes in the Dutch figures. Changes as of 26 March 2020: The 2017 figures for Belgium have been added. The Belgian regional classification has been adjusted according to the reclassifications in 2019. When will there be new figures? The new figures will be available in the fourth quarter of 2022.
