Dataset description

This table provides data on the number of establishments by economic activity, based on the 2008 Standard Business Classification (SBI 2008). The sites are classified according to regional breakdowns (including COROP areas) based on the municipal classification as of 1 January of the reporting year. In addition, the number of establishments whose ultimate control lies abroad is shown. Data available from: 2010. Status of the figures: The figures until 2018 are final. The 2019 figures will be finalised in September 2022. Preliminary data are usually available 16 months after the end of the reporting year.
