Data from geotechnical probe research (kenset) as stored in the Base Registration Underground (BRO). Geotechnical probe research (in English Cone Penetration Test, abbreviated to CPT) is research that aims to obtain information about the soil or geological structure of the subsoil, in which measurements are made on the subsurface in the field by pressing a cone-shaped probe into the ground. Traditionally, the purpose of the probe is to determine the resistance and friction that the cone experiences on the way down in order to derive mechanical properties from the substrate. Over time, the probe has evolved in such a way that a wide range of measurements can be made. For more information, see www.basisregistratieondergrond.nl
