This dataset contains data on groundwater monitoring sinks from the Underground Basic Registration (BRO), harmonised to the INSPIRE dataset specifications for hydrogeology. A groundwater monitoring pit is a work carried out in a drilled hole in order to be able to record changes in groundwater in a specific part of the subsurface over a long period of time. Usually, a well consists of a set of monitoring tubes which are protected at the surface by a construction. A monitoring tube of a groundwater monitoring pit is a measuring point in a groundwater monitoring network in the Basic Registration Underground.
