Determining the stability of sheet pile constructions is a complicated task that is very location-specific and requires customisation. It is therefore not possible to discount all the variables that are relevant in a generic applicable classification. However, an important relevant variable that can be classified in a generic way is the composition of the soil profile next to a sheet wall. The soil profile around a building well determines to a large extent the technical complexity of the sheet pile construction to be constructed.
