Building on weak ground — Reliability TNO cards

This dataset together with four other datasets (reliability TNO maps, setting sensitivity (slap soil), thickness of holocene and erupting sheet wall) is the information to determine the suitability of the subsurface for construction on weak ground and underground construction. This card is part of the research report ‘Suitability maps of the subsurface for construction in North Holland’. In the construction of this card, it was first calculated which part of the drills had pierced the holocene package. A bore that has pierced the total holocene package gives more reliable information than a bore that only a part has pierced. Then we looked at the spatial distribution of the boreholes. In map Appendix G (see report), reliability is divided into three classes, from most reliable to least reliable.
