The built-up area is an area indicated by the government where there is a lot of buildings, which makes it possible to apply different rules in built-up areas. In the Netherlands, there is generally a clear difference between the inhabited areas, such as cities and villages, and the connecting roads outside. This dataset is offered in both OGC:WFS- and OGC:WMS-service. In addition, it is possible to download the data directly in a number of file formats.
