Car service companies; operating results by turnover class 1996-1999

Car service companies (SBI 502) Trade in automotive parts and accessories in combination with assembly of concerning parts and accessories, e.g. shock absorbers, exhausts, accumulators, etc. of tyres which are essentially assembled, tyre repair, balancing and alignment of wheels. Repair of specific auto parts such as radiators, shock absorbers, brakes, cardan shafts, etc.; repair of electric car parts such as starter motors, batteries, alternators, wiring in cars, lighting, etc. This publication contains the most important results of a survey which CBS holds annually among companies within this industry based on a sample examination.The purpose of the survey is to produce, to map consumption and value added to a large number of economic activities.The results shall be incorporated into the system of the National Accounts. In the year 2000 a large number of changes have been made in methods and procedures concerning production statistics. 2000 is therefore a kind of start-up year, in which (yet) not until publication of all variables can be done in detail.Further are the results for reporting year 2000 (and later) not automatically similar to those of previous years. For this reason, it has been decided to include the results from the reporting year 2000 in a new publication ‘Quality services’.
