This table contains monthly cash data on the income, expenditure and balance of the central government. The data come directly from the accounts of the relevant public authorities. This table presents the amounts on a cash basis. This means that the time of payment is the criterion for the booking. The data presented is not in line with the national accounts publications.
This table gives effect to the EU Directive 2011/85. This Directive forms part of six European legislative measures known as ‘Sixpack’.
CBS published the revised National Accounts in June 2018. Among other things, gross domestic product (GDP) and total government expenditure have been adjusted upwards as a result of the revision. As part of the revision, the determination of the population of the central government has improved qualitatively. In addition, classifications of certain income and expenditure have been changed. From the first month of 2018, this table for central government publishes cash expenditure, cash income and the balance after revision. The figures for the previous months have not been adjusted based on the revision. Between December 2017 and January 2018, a break occurs as a result.
Data available from: January 2014.
