Indexation refers to the process of periodically lowering the groundwater level so that the groundwater level is restored to the ground level from then. By means of the indexation, the groundwater level is thus adjusted (decreased) to the subsidence that has occurred since the previous indexation. The map layer ‘Decrease 2020-2050 at indexation’ shows the degree of subsidence with this measure.
The GLG 2020 used in non-urban areas is based on maps in ‘groundwater regime based on Kartable Characteristics’ of the STOWA (2010). This last map gives an overview of the situation around 2010. The LHM 3.4 has been used for urban areas.
