Coal and coal product balance; supply and consumption 1990-2018

This table shows the supply and consumption of coal, lignite + lignite briquettes and coke oven coke in balance form. The calculation of the offer is as follows: production plus recovered products plus imports minus exports plus stock change. This is equal to the amount of coal, lignite + lignite briquettes and coke oven coke consumed in the Netherlands during the same period. This consumption is further broken down by the consumer groups of energy companies, coking plants, industry, iron and steel industry and other consumers. Other consumers include, for example, the services sector and households. Data available from: January 1990 to November 2018. Status of the figures: All figures up to the reporting year 2015 are final. Data from January 2016 and 2017 are further provisional. Data from January 2018 are provisional. Changes as of 28 February 2019 None, this table has been discontinued. Changes as of 3 August 2018 — figures on the supply and consumption of lignite + lignite briquettes and coke oven coke have been added from 1990 onwards. — From the reporting year 2015, the export and import figures of coal have been exported. — provisional figures from January to May 2018 have been added. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable. Due to a revision on the supply side, it is not possible to return the months, quarters and years of reporting year 2014 and earlier.
