Dataset description

Location of the national beach poles line along the Dutch coast. As part of the jarkus programme, heights and depth measurements are carried out perpendicular to the RijkStrandpalenlijn (the line that connects the national beach poles). These measurements serve as input for, among other things, research and testing baseline position. The national beach poles line forms the 0 point of measurements (inland is negative). This layer is used for display in the Coastline Cardbooks.
