Dataset description

This table provides data on the number of companies and institutions by main economic activity, based on the 2008 Standard Business Classification (SBI 2008). The SBI is broken down to the lowest level in this table. The companies are further classified by company size based on the number of persons employed and by legal form. This is the corporate population of the Netherlands. The corporate population is a snapshot on the first day of each quarter. Data available from: 1st quarter 2007. Status of the figures: The figures until 2020 are final, the 2021 figures are further provisional and the 2022 figures are provisional. Amendments as of 14 October 2022: The data for the 4th quarter of 2022 have been added. Data for 2021 and 2022 may have been adjusted on the basis of fulfilled information. When are new figures coming? The figures for each quarter are published in the first month of each quarter.
