This table is about decisions taken by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in court criminal cases, broken down by type of decision and — in the case of unconditional policy deposits — by method of implementation. The data can be broken down by type of crime, type of suspect and age category of the suspect. The figures in the table are rounded to five.
Data available from 1994 to 2016.
Status of the figures:
The figures for the last reporting year are provisional figures. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive.
Changes as of 30 November 2017:
This table is discontinued.
Changes as of 11 September 2017:
The figures on the decisions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office have been retroactively adjusted from 2008 onwards by improvements in the interface of the Integrated Criminal Procedure System (GPS). This mainly concerns the criminal orders, where an underestimation took place.
The figures on unconditional policy deposits with and without notification are not properly recorded in GPS and are therefore insufficiently reliable as of 2008. Therefore, these figures will not be displayed as of 2008.
The underlying encodings of the classifications used in this table have been adjusted. These are now in line with the standard coding established by CBS. The structure and data of the table have not been adapted for this purpose.
The preliminary figures for 2016 have been added.
Due to the loss of funding, new data will no longer be available for this statistics from 1 January 2018. For more information see the link in paragraph 3.
