Cultural History Main Structure: Landscape zones

The valuable historical landscapes concern parts of carved characteristics (see Map 2.a Landscape, Characteristics). Depending on the score on the valuation, a value has been awarded, namely: very high value (red); high value (orange); fairly high value (yellow). Most landscape types in South Holland (e.g. peat extraction, dry mackery, sea clay mill) are not particularly rare at provincial level. As a result, they usually score no higher than ‘high value’ if they are sufficiently cool and coherent. Parts of landscapes can — in cool condition — score higher.
