Deceased by medical decision on the end of life; age, gender

The Death Study provides information about medical decisions taken by the treating physician around the end of life. For the study, a sample was drawn from the causes of death of people who died in the months of August to November of the year of research and who belonged to the population of the Netherlands at the time of death. The sample data has been converted into annual figures. This table refers to the deceased by medical decision on the end of life by age and gender. Data available: 2001, 2005, 2010 and 2015 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. Changes as of 9 August 2019: The underlying encodings of the gender and age classifications used in this table have been adjusted. These are now in line with the standard coding established by CBS. The structure and data of the table have not been modified. When are new figures coming? The study takes place five years.
