The table refers to child maintenance established in divorce proceedings as laid down in the court’s divorce decision. There is a maintenance obligation for the partner. In principle, the amount of maintenance can be determined freely by the ex-partners. Agreements on this can be included in a divorce agreement. If necessary, the judge will make a decision. In addition to the percentage distribution of child maintenance, the median and the arithmetic average of the (monthly payable) child maintenance are included in the table.
