Dataset description

The open data set Early Dutch Books Online (EDBO) contains more than two million pages from 11,000 printed in the Netherlands. books from the end of the 18th century (1781-1800). The books come from the Royal Library and the libraries of the universities of Amsterdam and Leiden. The KB offers the set as open data: the metadata is subject to a CC0 license, the individual objects (full-texts) are subject to a Public Domain Mark. For the entire Leiden sub-collection (or substantial parts thereof), these may only be reused for non-commercial purposes.
