Dataset description

This table contains data on early school leavers (annual growth) from secondary education (vo), secondary vocational education (mbo) and secondary general adult education (vavo) by origin grouping, type of education, duration of residence in the Netherlands (1st generation of immigrants) and age. Please note: This publication provides insight into the background characteristics of early school leavers compared to non-premature school leavers. This publication is not intended to reflect the total number of early school leavers in the Netherlands. Figures have been calculated by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW). Data available: From school year 2004/“05 to school year 2009/”10. Status of the figures: The figures for school year 2009/'10 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive. Changes as of 8 April 2015: None, this table has been discontinued. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
