This table gives an overview of the expenditure of the Dutch government
for regular education. Both the education expenditures of the Empire and the
the municipalities and provinces are indicated. The National Expenses
education is divided into expenditure on educational institutions and
expenditure on municipalities, households (students and/or parents) and businesses
and non-profit institutions. The figures presented have been calculated
according to the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and
Development) standardised definitions.
