Dataset description

In this table you will find the air emission accounts, which is part of the environmental accounts compiled annually by CBS. These air emission accounts state where pollutants and gases in the air come from (the origin) and where they go (the destination). Emissions of pollutants and gases from both stationary sources (such as power plants) and from mobile sources (such as road traffic) are allocated to the different sectors and households. Tables showing by economic activity (including households), per dust and per year the volume of emissions to air can be drawn up at your choice. The pollutants taken into account include greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, N2O), ozone-depleting gases (CFCs) and acidifying substances (SO2, NOx and NH3). Because the data in the environmental accounts are directly linked to the economic data in the national accounts, it is possible to quantify the impact of the economic performance of the Netherlands on the environment. Data available from: 1990 to 2013. The table was discontinued as of 15 January 2016. The table continues as Emissions to air, origin and destination; national accounts, see paragraph 3. Status of the figures: The figures are for now. The entire time series from 1990 onwards is (re)calculated annually and adjusted to the adjusted emission figures. The latest insights, in particular with regard to the emission factors, have been taken into account. Changes as of 15 January 2016: None, this table has been discontinued. Changes as of 8 July 2015: The figures of stationary sources of services, in particular, were found to have been incorrectly calculated. These have now been corrected. The correction relates to the whole time series. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
