This table contains quarterly and annual figures from 2010 on employment participation by gender, age and region. Of the population aged 15 to 75 (excluding the institutional population), the number and percentage of the working population are shown. The regional breakdown (by country, provinces and RegioPlus labour market regions) is based on the municipality of residence on 1 January of the reporting year for each reporting year. This table has been developed within the framework of the Labour Market, Care and Welfare Research Programme (AZW). For more trends and developments in the labour market in care and well-being, see AZWinfo.nl (see paragraph 3).
Due to changes in the research design and questionnaire of the EBB, the figures from 2021 onwards are not easily comparable to the figures up to 2020.
Data available from 2010 to 2022.
Status of the figures:

Amendments as of 17 November 2022:
None, this table has been discontinued.
Changes as of 18 August 2022:
Quarterly figures for the second quarter of 2022 have been published.
As of 24 March 2022, the municipality of Weesp merged with the municipality of Amsterdam. This municipal reclassification has been implemented in this table from the 1st quarter of 2022. This administrative change may have an impact on developments in these regions and an overview of all municipal changes can be found in paragraph 3.
In the previous version of this table, the option to split between labour market regions and municipalities is mistakenly included, while no figures can be presented for this. These options have been removed from the region selection.
Changes as of 17 February 2022:
The annual figures for 2021 and the quarterly figures for the third and fourth quarters of 2021 have been published. The figures for the first two quarters of 2021 have been revised.
